#GODDESS

A SPACE OF HER OWN

Unleash the Goddess in your home and create a sacred space of your very own

(yes, this space is all about you!)

The first step is to book a Consult Call with me where we’ll discuss the scope of your project and your needs. BOOK HERE.

Imagine this:

As you walk through your front door, a feeling of peace and ease rush over you. You set down your keys on a beautiful console table you found at a flea market. Fresh flowers sit on the table filling the room with the aroma of a spring day.  Light dances on the floor as your favorite rug soothes your tired feet. After a long day this is the only place you want to be.

Your home. Your sanctuary. Your safe haven from the chaos of the world.

When you walk down the hallway you feel a sense of belonging. Your home is a reflection of who you are, the life you have lived, and the life you are living.

The walls are decorated with photos of memories. The treasures you collected from your world travels are placed throughout. You sit in your favorite chair, close your eyes, and a slight smile crosses your face: You feel at ease in both your personal and work relationships; You are in a job that fulfills you and allows you to live your life’s purpose; You have learned how to love yourself and the internal struggle of who you should be no longer holds you back; You live effortlessly in flow and transformational peace.

When we work together, my intention is to help you create a space that you fall in love with every time you walk through the door. A space and life that supports the woman you are and the woman you want to become.

From home offices, to craft rooms, living rooms, master suites, and first apartments, I help women design sacred spaces of their very own (yes, this space is all about you).

No matter the size of your home, you deserve a piece of it to be your personal sanctuary.  You are sacred, your life is sacred, and your home should be sacred too.

With a degree in Interior Design, Life Coaching Training and over 18 years of experience designing luxury homes, I have combined my love of decorating with my love of holistic living to create a transformational process.

My approach to Interior Design is holistic and healing. Your life and home environment are directly connected; they influence each other. This is why many of my clients choose to add Coaching into their Interior Design process or vice versa. Click here to see the full list of services I offer.

Transforming your space isn’t about the latest trends or copying a page out of a magazine. It’s about creating a space that expresses the woman you are and the woman you want to become. A place that nourishes your soul and gives you the permission to be who you truly are and live the life you desire.

I value using local workrooms, hand-made quality fine furnishings, sustainable products, second hand items (I love flea markets!) and finding clever ways to repurpose and reuse your existing decor. I truly believe you should love every item you bring into your home.

Here’s how we can start:

The first step is to book a Consult Call with me where we’ll discuss the scope of your project and your needs. BOOK HERE.

During the consult we’ll discuss in depth your vision and needs for your home. We’ll dive into what’s working and what’s not, how you envision your home looking, and also how you envision living.

The Process:

Every woman is different and so are her design needs, but the process may look something like:

We meet in your home for a Consultation where we discuss (in depth) your vision and needs for your home. We’ll dive into what’s working and what’s not, how you envision your home looking, and also how you envision living.

Sometimes all that’s needed is a fresh pair of eyes on your space and the In-Home Consultation may give you the solutions you are looking for.

If you need more, I’ll spend time taking measurements, photographs, and inventory of any of your existing decor you’d like to bring into the new design.

If you need help decluttering we’ll also come up with a plan on the best way to dive into that process.

After the In-home consultation, we begin collaborating on the design scheme. You’ll be part of the entire process ensuring that the room is truly an authentic representation of who you are.

At this point I also begin creating furniture layouts where I study the flow of the room and the best possible furniture placement for your needs.

Once the layout is completed we move onto the fun part – selecting furniture, fabrics, area rugs, drapery, pillows, paint color, etc.

Throughout this process I gently guide you into making decisions and selecting the right pieces based on our initial session. I truly believe you should love every item you bring into your home and that’s our priority here.

Upon selections of all items I’ll provide a furniture layout, design board, and a shopping list. You can choose to purchase all the items at once, or purchase at your leisure (a great solution for smaller budgets!)

After the items arrive at your home, we get together to put the final touches on the room. This time can be used to shop for accessories, go to a flea market, and/or style the space. By putting the final touches on the room we bring the room to life!

Again, these are examples of what we may choose to do. Every woman is different and so are her needs. Therefore, the support that you need will vary from the needs of another woman. This journey is designed to flow differently according to the woman.

Ms. Jodie

Here was my challenge this fall: opening a new business, complete with risking huge sums of money, dealing with contractors, an over controlling landlord, and a tight timeline in order to avoid more months of double rent. On top of that, I had to decorate and furnish my own office, and since my business is psychotherapy, it was important that it felt warm, nourishing, and reflected my personal style. Thank the stars for Emily, who entered this scene and immediately connected with me in this super stressed state!

She knew just how much to take the reins, providing guidance but allowing me to be really involved, which I wanted. She asked me to describe in a couple words my vision for the space, my budget, tastes, and we went from there, deciding to spend a day shopping together. Her support, her expert eye, and her positive energy were all so helpful. Although I have a pretty good eye for things myself, she helped me see how certain items would not work together before I brought them home, figured that out, and had to make another trip to return them. When I got lazy, her gentle I don’t think so’s would remind me what I already knew and help me be patient to find the right thing, without ever feeling like pressure.

Emily believe that design has an impact on the way you feel and a connection to your soul/purpose. I highly recommend her as someone who brings skill in design, vision from the heart, and commitment to her work.

“I feel so lucky to have met and worked with Emily. As a life coach who works from home I wanted a space of my own which made me feel energized. Before I met Emily my office was the room that held all the stuff I didn’t know what to do with. It was a huge mess. I never could find what I needed and I never enjoyed being in the space.

Emily helped me define what I wanted for this space by asking amazing questions and helped me get clear as to what was really important to me. She took time to understand what my style was and found things for my room that made it a beautiful and workable space.

I now have a bright and cheery space that I love being in. It’s so wonderful to have a place that is just for me and represents who I am as a person.

Working with Emily is amazing. She has a great way of figuring out what is important to you and helping you to create a space that is really intended for you and a place that you love.”

Ms. Sandy

I was quite overwhelmed with the room that needed to be transformed.  It had been a child’s bedroom, a teen’s bedroom, an adult returned home bedroom, and a room where things were stored when we couldn’t think of a better place at the moment.  It was packed to the eyeballs. It was hard to determine what few things should stay out of the mess. I had a good conceptual idea of how the room should work for me ultimately, but no real grasp of specifics and not a good pathway to get there.

I was particularly worried about color.  Since it was to be a workroom/studio, I didn’t want the color of the walls to affect the color of the materials I work with.  The one window faces north, and provides a nice clean light to work in, but north light can be cool. I wanted some warmth in the room as well.  I wasn’t sure how to balance those issues. A second worry, for me, was how to organize the workspace – and that went along with what should stay in the room or not.  Emily provided a design plan including lots of paint chips so we could choose the right color, floorplan options, and pictures of solutions.

Emily made it easy to be as muddled as I was. She was able to discern what I wanted through that muddle, and charted a course for me to get to a better place.  She was light-hearted and light-handed, which took away a lot of my angst. And she was understanding and supportive throughout the process.

I would highly recommend getting professional help and hiring Emily.  It was worth every nickel to have somebody understand that the room transformation was not just about paint color and furniture.  It was about creating a workspace that would move my ambitions to a new place and create a room that supports my creativity.

“Before Emily came into my world it was a scene oh physical and energetic chaos.

Emily and I sat on my bed and began to create a map of what I needed to feel my most fulfilled actualized life… it had many elements of course. At the onset, scanning around my house with its clutter hosting unusable rooms and unused creative spaces, a change had been calling to me for literally over 6 years. I had reached my limit with this overbearing experience of feeling overwhelmed.

Emily opened up her spiffy note book and smiled warmly and excitedly with me. So here I am in this state, years of clutter and overwhelm, creative energies are being depleted by chaotic rooms…and she’s excited? Her enthusiasm, optimism and modalities showed me I could have a different experience!

Over weeks we plowed through full rooms and I have been able to reclaim my physical environment and now my energetic one.

Since the months I have had the honor to work with Emily I have been able to feel ease and flow when I return home, and sit down to my art table and build the ideas that are the foundation of my next career, my own company.

This week I have my first client! I needed Emily to help show me the way, to show me that I could have the life wanted to live so I could create the life I dreamed of. Today, each day I’m one day closer. Emily is making it happen, I’m finding the things in my LIFE that fill me up… not just stuff.

And now I’m able to do the work that is going to help me make my dreams come true and now I have my home back, where I can swirl in creative juicy energies that allow me to cultivate the experiences that I want to have and build the dreams that I want my life and my message to be about.”
