As you walk through your front door a feeling of peace and ease rush over you. You set down your keys and purse on a beautiful console table you found at a flea market. Fresh flowers sit on the table filling the room with the aroma of a spring day.  Light dances on the floor as your favorite rug soothes your tired feet. After a long day this is the only place you want to be. Your home. Your sanctuary. Your safe haven from the chaos of the world.

As you walk down the hallway you feel a sense of belonging. Your home is a reflection of who you are, the life you have lived, and and the life you are living. The walls are decorated with photos of memories and treasures from your world travels are placed throughout.

You close your eyes and a slight smile crosses your face; by transforming your home you’ve transformed your life, and for that you’re eternally gratefully.

This is my intention with my design services, to help you create a space that you fall in love with every time you walk through the door.

A space that supports the woman you are and the woman you want to become.

My approach to Interior Design is holistic and healing. Your life and home environment are directly connected; they influence each other. This is why many of my clients choose to add Life Coaching into their Interior Design process or vice versa.

Designing your space isn’t about the latest trends or copying a page out of Elle Decor.  It’s about creating a space that expresses the woman you are and the woman you want to become. A place that nourishes your soul and gives you the permission to be who you truly are and live the life you desire.

I value using local Bay Area based workrooms, hand-made quality fine furnishings, sustainable products, second hand items (I love flea markets!) and finding clever ways to repurpose and reuse your existing decor.

The design process:

Every woman is different and so are her design needs, but the process may look something like:

We meet in your home for a Consultation where we discuss in depth your vision and needs for your home. We’ll dive into what’s working and what’s not, and how you envision your home looking, but also how you envision living.

Sometimes all that’s needed is a fresh pair of eyes on your space and the In-Home Design Consultation may give you the solutions you are looking for.

If you need more,  I’ll spend time taking measurements, photographs, and inventory of any of your existing decor you’d like bring into the new design.

If you need help decluttering we’ll also come up with a plan on the best way to dive into that process.

After the in-home consultation, we begin collaborating on the design scheme. You’ll be part of the entire process ensuring that the room is truly an authentic representation of who you are.

At this point I also begin creating furniture layouts where I study the flow of the room and the best possible furniture placement for your needs.

Once the layout is completed we move onto the fun part – selecting furniture, fabrics, area rugs, drapery, pillows, paint color, etc.

Throughout this process I gently guide you into making decisions and selecting the right pieces based on our initial session. I truly believe you should love every item you bring into your home and that’s our priority here.

Upon selections of all items I’ll provide a furniture layout, design board, and a shopping list. You can choose to purchase all the items at once, or purchase at your leisure (a great solution for smaller budgets!)

After the items arrive to your home we get together to put the final touches on the room. This time can be used to shop for accessories, go to a flea market, and/or style the space. By putting the final touches on the room we bring the room to life!

My design fee is $175 an hour. If your in-home consultation goes over 90 minutes additional charges will apply which you can pay at the end of our session.
